It is undoubtedly complete overkill vs 32GB but I’m enjoying the speed. It turns out that they had a m1x/64GB/2tb for in-store pickup on launch day 😮 🔥 and I couldn’t resist 😅. Due to a late order plus getting cold feet a few times (many, many canceled orders 😔) shipping was at the end of December at a minimum 🥺😩. My only caveat on expected performance is that since I can’t use wsl2 in parallels I use vscode remote to a Linux vm so I’m not depending on local peformance for that part.Īlso, my purchase scenario was slightly different than yours. With the exception of my 1billion-windows workflows, it should run windows 11 flawlessly in all but the most demenading scenarios. I just bumped it to 16Gb a little over a week ago for a little more 🤌🏼 😏.

Yours is damn good as well.😎ītw I was using the default 8GB for the vm and it worked really well.
